It’s been a decade since we settled WordPress as our CMS (Content Management System) of choice, with it now accounting for 85-95% of all the websites we launch for clients at any one time. Its ease of use (from the client’s perspective) and its ease to design and program for (from our’s) make it absolutely ideal.

We’re obviously not alone.

I think it’s the 27% figure that I last remember quoting regularly in much of the marketing material we were producing then, around 2017. So it’s probably time to update some of that.

The WordPress share of the web hit 30% earlier in 2019 and has now hit 33.3%, at least according to W3Techs.
